Disla Homers and Drives In Four, Paints Beat Thrillbillies 5-1

MARION, Ill. - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, got strong pitching and a four-RBI night from Arturo Disla in a 5-1 win over the Thrillville Thrillbillies at The Ballpark At Thrillville Thursday night.

The Paints (12-8) scored the first run of the game in the top of the first. Tyler Shaneyfelt singled to lead off the game, scoring on a deep fly ball to left by Victor Figueroa that was lost in the sky by the Thrillville left fielder.

Thrillville (10-9) tied the game in the bottom of the first. Kaleb Herbert singled with one out and, after moving to second on a wild pitch, scored on an RBI single by Jackson Lindsey, making it 1-1. That's all the Chillicothe pitching dup of Dylan Dudones and Tyler Mendez would give up.

Dudones (3-0) turned in his longest outing of the season, allowing just the one run on five hits while striking out five and walking one over six innings.

The Paints broke the tie in the top of the fifth on Arturo Disla's seventh home run of the season, a two-run shot scoring Shaneyfelt who had reached on a bunt single two batters earlier.

Disla would drive home two more with a single in the top of the seventh, again driving home Shaneyfelt, making it 5-1.

Mendez pitched the final three innings for Chillicothe, earning his first save of the season after allowing just two hits and striking out three.
