Rockabillys Drop Fourth in a Row to River Dragons

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Tuesday night, the Goats lost 11-8 to the Alton River Dragons, thanks in part to six Rockabilly errors in the contest.

Noah Wood started for the Goats and got the loss as he threw 3.1 innings, allowing three walks and seven runs, four of which were earned. Will Ripoll came in first for relief. He threw two innings, surrendering four runs on five hits. After recording one out in last night's contest with the Cape Catfish, James Denten appeared once again and pitched 2.2 innings of no run ball. He also struck out three River Dragons.

Led by Griffin Cameron and Mason Krznarich, the Rockabillys offense put up eight runs on 10 hits, but it wasn't enough to overcome the River Dragons, who scored 11 runs on 12 hits. Cameron was two for five on the night with a homerun, a triple, and 2 RBIs. Krznarich also had two RBIs on the night after hitting a two-run homerun in the top of the sixth inning.

On Thursday, June 15th, the Goats begin a two-game series with the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes. The last game of the road trip will be on Saturday, June 17th, in a rematch with the Alton River Dragons.

On Monday, June 19th, the Rockabillys come back to Jackson to face the Burlington Bees in the third Military Monday of the season in which all veterans and active military members get $1.00 admission.

On Tuesday, June 20th, the Goats wrap up their series with the Bees, and Domino's Pizza presents the Zooperstars. Special guests like Harry Canary, Tommy Laswordfish, Clammy Sosa, and Shark McGwire will entertain and perform synchronized dance routines, acrobatics, tricks, and comedy for lots of fun and laughs.
