JACKSON, Tenn.—On the final Military Monday Night of the season, the Jackson Rockabillys led 6-5 against the Cape Catfish going into the ninth inning but couldn't hold on as they lost 7-6.

First baseman Brett Blankenship led the Goats' offense, going two for three with a double, a triple, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Leftfielder Nick Stamper also had a two-hit game, and Jake McCutcheon, Joseph Hufstedler, and Traeshon Hall each collected an RBI.

Peyton Charles allowed no runs in his two innings of work, and Avery Hastings took the loss after giving up two runs on two hits in the ninth.

Next up, on Tuesday, August 1st, Jackson faces Cape in what will be First Responders Night at the park. The Rockabillys salute and honor all our first responders with $2.00 admission. Swing Check Baseball is also being recognized with $5.00 admission for anyone affiliated with the organization. Fans will even get to enjoy the Tractor Supply Kids Korral.

On Wednesday, August 2nd, the Goats begin a two-game series with the Thrillville Thrillbillies, and the first 1,000 fans with paid admission receive a free, embroidered Rockabillys cap courtesy of our local Ace Hardware.
