Rockabillys Score Only One Run in Seven-Inning Loss to Chillicothe

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Thursday night, the Goats got run-ruled 11-1 by the Chillicothe Paints in the series finale.

Jack Hearn from Jackson State Community College started for the Rockabillys and took the loss after pitching 5.1 innings and surrendering 10 runs. Balfour Roe recorded the final two outs and also struck out two Paints' hitters.

Although the Goats' offense had seven hits in the game, they were only able to score one run which came in the top of the third inning when Ben Smith doubled to score Jake Keyl. Keyl was two for three in the contest, and Griffin Cameron was two for four with a triple.

On Friday, July 28th, and Saturday, July 29th, the Rockabillys wrap up their road trip against the Terre Haute Rex and Cape Catfish, respectively.

The next home game for the Goats will be on Monday, July 31st, when they face the Catfish in the final Military Monday of the season. All active and retired members of the military will be honored with $1.00 admission, and there will also be a salute to our season ticket holders and player host families.

On Tuesday, August 1st, Jackson plays Cape in what will be First Responders Night at the park. The Rockabillys salute and honor all our first responders with $2.00 admission.
