Goats Lose Heartbreaker to Thrillville 11-10

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Thursday night, the Jackson Rockabillys ended their road trip with an 11-10 loss to the the Thrillville Thrillbillies of Marion, Ill.

Sam Poindexter, a left-handed pitcher from Union University, got the start for the Goats, going 3.1 innings and giving up eight runs on seven hits. Will Schnepf threw the next 1.2 innings and allowed no runs. Juwan Fitch was the second reliever of the night for Jackson as he hurled two innings and only surrendered one run. Jamal Allen took the loss, making his record 2-4.

The offense did its best to keep the Rockabillys in the game with Cole McCallum, James Denten, and Mason Krznarich leading the way. McCallum hit two doubles in the contest and collected four RBIs. Denten and Krznarich each hit a two-run homerun with Denten's blast coming in the fourth and Krznarich's big fly following in the fifth.

The Goats come back to Jackson on Friday, July 21st, to face the Quincy Gems in what will be Leaders Night at the park and will also feature Friday Night Fireworks.
