Rockabillys Lose Tenth Straight Game 4-3 to the Catfish

JACKSON, Tenn.—On First Responders Night at the park, the Goats faced the Cape Catfish and lost 4-3.

The two teams had only nine hits combined while the pitching staffs walked a total of 13 batters. Jake McCutcheon accounted for all of the Rockabillys' runs as he hit an RBI single in the bottom of the first and drove in two with his double in the eighth.

Starter Juwan Fitch had a good outing, throwing five innings and giving up only two runs. However, he took the loss. Parker Davis pitched three innings of relief and surrendered two runs on two hits. Braden Becker finished out the game for the Goats with a scoreless ninth inning.

On Wednesday, August 2nd, the Goats begin a two-game series with the Thrillville Thrillbillies, and the first 1,000 fans with paid admission receive a free, embroidered Rockabillys cap courtesy of our local Ace Hardware.

The final home game of the season for the Goats is on Thursday, August 3rd, against Thrillville. Every inning a pair of tickets to 2023 SEC football games will be given away, and after the game, kids will get to run the bases.
