Powered by Ford, the Rockabillys Snap Losing Streak and Defeat the Thrillbillies 4-3

JACKSON, Tenn.—In the final home game of the season, the Jackson Rockabillys beat the Thrillville Thrillbillies 4-3, thanks to a two-run homerun by right fielder Preston Ford in the bottom of the sixth inning. 

The Goats outhit Thrillville 7-6 in the contest. Brett Blankenship and Garrett Lance each had two for four nights, and Joseph Hufstedler and Blankenship collected an RBI apiece.

Starter Jack Hearn had a solid start, throwing six innings and giving up three runs on five hits. Avery Hastings got one out while walking two hitters, and Peyton Charles got the win after pitching 1.2 innings and striking out three. Jamal Allen recorded the save by hurling a scoreless ninth inning.

The Rockabillys wrap up the season with a two-game road trip against the Thrillbillies on Friday, August 4th, and Saturday, August 5th.
