Pistol Shrimp Stun the Goats on Their Way to a 6-3 Win

JACKSON, Tenn.—On the final Texas Roadhouse Family Sunday Night of the year, the Jackson Rockabillys fell to the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp 6-3, and fans received pop-up cowboy hats courtesy of PRA Group and Froggy 104.

Of the three runs scored by the Goats, only one was an RBI, which came in the fifth in the form of a Brett Blankenship double to drive in Jake McCutcheon. Shortstop Brady Wilson also had a double in the game, and McCutcheon went two for three with a walk.

Starter Danton Rinehart had a solid outing, throwing five innings and allowing only three runs while striking out eight. Aden Johnson took the loss as he recorded only two outs and surrendered two runs. JD Klug and Harrison Freeman combined to finish the game for the Rockabillys. Neither gave up any runs, but both walked three batters.

The Goats wrap up their homestand against the Pistol Shrimp, on Monday, July 24th. The night will also feature hard-knockin', beat-rockin', interactive entertainment from Bucket Ruckus that will rock the ballpark and bring high-energy fun throughout the entire game.
