Goats One-Hit by the Thrillbillies for 11th Loss in a Row

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Wednesday night, the Jackson Rockabillys lost their 11th straight game 13-0 in seven innings to the Thrillville Thrillbillies of Marion, Ill. 

Chance Arender had a rocky start, throwing three innings and surrendering nine runs on eight hits. Kyle Lambert pitched 2.2 innings of four-run, five-hit ball, and JJ Gray collected one out while walking three batters. Bryce Dreher pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the Goats.

The Rockabillys' offense had only one hit in the contest which came in the form of a Joseph Hufstedler single in the bottom of the third inning.

The final home game of the season for the Goats is on Thursday, August 3rd, against Thrillville. Every inning a pair of tickets to 2023 SEC football games will be given away, and after the game, kids will get to run the bases. It is also the final Throwback Thursday of the season, which will feature $2.00 prices on 4 oz. peanuts, 16 oz. domestic beer, 16 oz. Coca-Cola products, hamburgers, and hotdogs.
