Tough Loss for Rockabillys as the REX Prevail 11-6

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Halloween in July night, the Goats lost to the REX 11-6 to open their four-game homestand.

The Rockabillys were outhit by the REX 14 to 10. Tyler Heckert, Wesley Mann, and Jake McCutcheon each had two hits in the contest, and Cole McCallum led the team with three RBIs on the night, which he collected with his bases-clearing double in the bottom of the third inning.

Cade Davis started on the bump for the Goats, throwing 5.2 innings and giving up three runs. Roman Smith, the first reliever of the game for the Rockabillys, also allowed three runs in his 2.1 innings of work. Tyler Macon got the loss as he recorded only two outs and surrendered five runs on five hits. Bryce Dreher came in to get the last out for Jackson.

Next up for the Goats is the series finale with the REX on Friday, July 14th. Fans will be able to stay after the game to enjoy Friday Night Fireworks.

The Rockabillys continue the homestand on Saturday, July 15th, against the Clinton LumberKings, and A Band of Jones will perform after the contest as the third Extra Innings Band of the season.
