Goats Outhit REX Baseball but Still Fall 10-9

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Friday night, the Rockabillys lost to the Terre Haute Rex 10-9 despite outhitting them 11-10.

Third baseman Hudson Cepparulo, right fielder Michael Bell, and catcher Bryce Dreher each had two hits in the game with Bell collecting a double and an RBI and Dreher recording two RBIs. First baseman Brett Blankenship added to the scoring by slugging a three-run homerun in the top of the second inning.

The Goats used five pitchers in the contest. Harrison Freeman started and threw one inning in which he allowed no runs. Balfour Roe appeared next, making it through 1.1 innings and giving up seven runs. Peyton Charles struck out four hitters in his 2.2 innings of work, and Braden Becker allowed two runs in two innings. Jamal Allen took the loss as he pitched 1.2 innings and surrendered one run on three hits and one walk.

On Saturday, July 29th, the Rockabillys finish up the road trip by playing the Cape Catfish.

The Goats will get Sunday, July 30th, off before playing at home on Monday, July 31st, against the Catfish in the final Military Monday of the season. All active and retired members of the military will be honored with $1.00 admission, and there will also be a salute to our season ticket holders and player host families.

On Tuesday, August 1st, Jackson faces Cape in what will be First Responders Night at the park. The Rockabillys salute and honor all our first responders with $2.00 admission. Swing Check Baseball is also being recognized with $5.00 admission for anyone affiliated with the organization, and all fans will get to enjoy the Tractor Supply Kids Korral.
