Hoots Snap the Rockabillys Win Streak in Series Opener

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Sunday night, the rain held off to let the Goats play the first of two with the O'Fallon Hoots in which they lost 7-2.

Cade Davis started the game for the Rockabillys, going 2.2 innings while allowing two runs and walking three batters. Roman Smith got the loss as he threw two innings and gave up two runs on two hits. Noah Wood, Thomas Greeson, and Josh Furtado each pitched one inning with Wood and Furtado striking out three Hoots hitters apiece.

After being on fire in the series against Alton, the Goats offense cooled down, scoring only two runs on five hits. The two RBIs came from Mason Krznarich and Nicho Jordan in the first and third innings respectively. Griffin Cameron and Krznarich had the only extra base hits for the Rockabillys with each getting a double.

Jackson will wrap up the series with O'Fallon on Monday, June 12th. Veterans and active military members will be able to purchase general admission tickets to the game for only $1.00.

On Tuesday, June 13th, the Rockabillys go on the road to face the Cape Catfish of Cape Girardeau, Mo., who have started their season 10-0. The Goats will also play the Alton River Dragons and Springfield Lucky Horseshoes on the road trip before coming home on Monday, June 19th, to begin a two-game series with the Burlington Bees.
