Rudd Hits Two Homeruns as the Goats Lose to the Red-Hot Catfish in Heartbreaker 4-3

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Friday night, the Rockabillys fell to the Cape Catfish of Cape Girardeau, Mo., 4-3.

Right-fielder Dalton Rudd had a huge night for the Goats, going two for three with two homeruns and collecting all three Rockabillys RBIs. Luke Lowery also had a good game at the plate with a three for four night.

Tyler Smith got the start on the mound and also took the loss as he went six innings and gave up six walks and two runs on two hits. Riley Mertl and Josh Furtado each threw an inning of relief. Mertl allowed two runs, while Furtado surrendered none.

Next for the Goats is the first game of a three-game homestand with the Thrillville Thrillbillies. Fans are invited to stay after the matchup for a performance by Typsy Gypsy, the second Extra Innings Band of the summer.

On Sunday, June 25th, the Rockabillys play game two against Thrillville and host the baby goats of the Tractor Supply Kids Korral as well as another Texas Roadhouse Family Sunday.

Monday, June 26th, is the game that many fans have been waiting for in which the Goats and the Thrillbillies will go absolutely bananas! Tickets are selling fast, so fans should claim theirs before they're gone.
