The Rockabillys Smoke the Dragons in 15-2 Rout

JACKSON, Tenn.—The Goats beat the River Dragons in seven innings on Friday to win the series.

Jackson native Tyler Smith got the win for the Rockabillys. He struck out seven and gave up only two runs in 5.2 innings. Ethan Orwig, who is also from Jackson and attends Union University, finished the game for the Goats, allowing only two hits in his 1.1 innings of work.

The Rockabillys hitters got the job done at the plate. As a team, they had seven hits, walked eleven times, and scored fifteen runs, while only striking out four times. Carter Vrabel had two doubles and one RBI on the night. Griffin Cameron, Garrett Byrd, James Denten, and Jake McCutcheon each collected two RBIs.

On Saturday, June 10th, the Goats will look to finish the series with a sweep of the Dragons. After the game, Southern Express will perform as the First Extra Innings Band of the season.

Sunday, June 11th, is the beginning of a two-game set with the O'Fallon Hoots. It will be the first Texas Roadhouse Family Sunday and will also feature the Kids Korral.
