Rockabillys on the Losing End of Run-Rule Game against the Clinton LumberKings

JACKSON, Tenn.—The Jackson Rockabillys began their two-game series with the Clinton LumberKings with a loss 12-2 in seven innings on Saturday night.

Goats' starter Sam Poindexter went five innings, giving up four runs on six hits. Josh Furtado threw the next 1.1 innings and allowed three runs and three hits while striking out three batters. Juwan Fitch, who made his Rockabillys' debut in the contest, recorded only one out and surrendered five runs. Jake McCutcheon got the final out for the Goats.

The Rockabillys' lineup was silent most of the game with James Denten and Mason Krznarich providing the only run support for the pitching staff. Denten hit an RBI double in the bottom of the first, and Krznarich launched a solo homerun in the second. Krznarich also hit a double to give him a two for two night at the plate.

The Goats finish the two-game set with the LumberKings on Sunday, July 16th, in what will be another Texas Roadhouse Family Sunday.

Jackson will then have Monday, July 17th, off before going on a three-game road trip with one game against the O'Fallon Hoots and two games against the Thrillville Thrillbillies.
