Bell Goes Three for Three in Final Game of the 2023 Season as the Goats Lose 24-2 to Thrillville

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Saturday night, in the final game of the 2023 season, the Jackson Rockabillys lost to the Thrillville Thrillbillies 24-2.

The Goats had only four hits in the contest with three coming from centerfielder Michael Bell, who went three for three with an RBI and a walk. Shortstop Walton Thompson collected the other Rockabillys' hit with his double in the top of the seventh inning.

Starter Jamal Allen took the loss after pitching three innings of seven-run, five-hit ball. Kyle Lambert, Tyler Lawrence, and Balfour Roe combined to finish out the game for the Goats. Lambert gave up eight runs. Lawrence surrendered five runs, and Roe allowed four runs.

The Rockabillys' record for the 2023 season was 16-41. It wasn't the finish that the club had hoped for, but it was the beginning of an era of baseball in Jackson that hopefully will continue for a long time to come. The Rockabillys would like to thank everyone that supported them in 2023 and cannot wait for the 2024 season and what it has in store.
