Furtado Gets the Win in Rockabillys First Triumph over Cape Catfish

JACKSON, Tenn.—In the first game of the road trip, the Goats got their first win against the Cape Catfish 4-3, making them 1-5 when playing the Prospect League's best team.

Josh Furtado started on the bump for the Rockabillys. He had a very solid outing, going 5.1 innings and allowing only two runs while striking out six Catfish. Hayden Collins threw one inning of relief and gave up the third Cape run, and Thomas Greeson got the save after throwing 2.2 innings of two hit, no run ball.

The Goats offense did not let their pitchers down as they scored four runs on ten hits. Right fielder Dalton Rudd stayed hot with a two for four night, including a double and two RBIs. Collins not only pitched but also hit a homerun in his one for three night at the plate.

The Rockabillys continue their road trip on Wednesday, June 28th, against the Burlington Bees before beginning a two-game series with the Clinton Lumberkings on Thursday, June 29th.
