June 9th Home Game Cancelled

Burlington, Iowa – The Burlington Bees Prospect League home game for Friday, June 9, 2023, has been cancelled.  The Bees were scheduled to play the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes at Community field at 6:30 PM.

On the second pitch of the contest between Burlington and Springfield Thursday evening, in Springfield, the action was halted after a Horseshoes player was struck by a line drive. 

Out of caution for the health of all players, the game was stopped and did not resume.  It will not be made up. 

The Friday contest will not be made up either.

Both teams will resume their regular schedule beginning Saturday when they meet in Springfield again.

Bees fans holding tickets for the Friday, June 9 contest may exchange them at the ticket box office for a ticket of equal value for any other home game throughout the remainder of the 2023 season.
