Rockabillys Stung by the Bees 4-1 in First Game of the Homestand

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Military Monday night, the Jackson Rockabillys lost to the Burlington Bees, scoring only one run on seven hits.

Noah Pridmore started on the rubber for the Goats. He threw 4.2 innings and gave up three runs, only two of which were earned. Sam Poindexter, a left-handed pitcher from Union University, relieved Pridmore in his first appearance of the season, collecting two outs and allowing only one hit. Josh Furtado and Ethan Orwig combined to throw the final 3.2 innings for the Rockabillys with Furtado striking out five Bees batters.

The Goats had seven hits on the night but were able to push only one run across. Dylan LaRue led the offense going two for four with the lone RBI which came courtesy of his double in the bottom of the second.

Next up for the Rockabillys is the series finale with Burlington on Tuesday, June 20th, which will feature the Zooperstars presented by Domino's Pizza. Special guests like Harry Canary, Tommy Laswordfish, Clammy Sosa, and Shark McGwire will entertain and perform synchronized dance routines, acrobatics, tricks, and comedy for lots of fun and laughs.

After an off day on Wednesday, June 21st, the Goats will play again at home on Thursday, June 22nd, against the Cape Catfish, who are 15-2 on the season. This will be the second Throwback Thursday of the summer and will feature $2.00 prices on 16 oz. domestic beer, 16 oz. Coca-Cola products, hamburgers, and hotdogs.
