Rockabillys Lose 8-1 to REX Baseball in First Game of Their Road Trip

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Tuesday night, the Goats dropped the first game of their road trip 8-1 to the Terre Haute REX.

The Rockabillys lineup had only four hits in the contest, and shortstop Joseph Hufstedler collected the lone Goats' RBI when he drove in Brett Blankenship in the top of the sixth inning.

Starter Juwan Fitch took the loss, throwing three innings and allowing four runs on five hits. Jack Hearn and Peyton Charles each gave up two runs in their outings in relief, and Balfour Roe hurled two scoreless innings to finish out the game.

The Rockabillys continue their trip on Wednesday, July 26th, against the Chillicothe Paints, which will be the first game in a two-game series.

The Goats' next home game will be on Monday, July 31st, when they face the Cape Catfish in the final Military Monday of the season. All active and retired members of the military will be honored with $1.00 admission, and there will also be a salute to our season ticket holders and player host families.
