Nearly 5,000 fans attended the leagues two All-Star games on July 2 and July 3, with 4,200 in attendance in Quincy on the 3rd. In the first game in Danville on the 2nd, the All-Stars bested the host Danville Dans 9-2, pounding out 14 hits off of 6 Dans pitchers. Getting two hits apiece were Decatur's T.J. Jackson and Jason Murphy, Springfield's Justin Stone and Twin City's James Rinne. Jackson also drove in 2 runs. Four All-Star pitchers limited the Dans to only 3 hits, 2 by Justin Beasley who also had both Dans RBIs. Twin City's Kirk Wilderspin was credited with the win for the All-Stars by pitching 3 hitless and scoreless innings.
The following night, the tables were turned as the host Quincy Gems bested the All-Stars 5-2. Eight Gems pitchers held the All-Stars to only 4 hits, 2 by Twin City's Aaron Pembroke. Jamie Blaesing was credited with the win for the Gems, starting and pitching 2 hitless and scoreless innings. The Gems managed only 5 hits against All-Star pitchers with Ryan Cole hitting safely two times.
