Bio

Jacob Wise has been with the Prospect League since the 2014 season. After a couple seasons helping with the league website, his role has expanded to now also include social media, player contracts, managing official scorers, stats software integration, helping individual member teams to use various league digital assets and more. Recently, Jacob has spearheaded the effort to create the league's live and on-demand game streaming network "Prospect League TV" and the league's move to PrestoSports for website hosting and stats.

Wise is also the Director of Media & Broadcasting for the three-time Prospect League Champion Chillicothe Paints, which includes serving as the club's radio play-by-play announcer, with audio from the radio broadcast also being used on Prospect League TV streams.

In 2009, Wise interned for the Paints in the front office and as a radio broadcaster. He did radio play-by-play for the Prospect League's Slippery Rock Sliders during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, while handling television play-by-play for the University of Pittsburgh's Pitt Panthers Television during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years. Wise then went to Illinois, calling games for the Frontier League's Rockford RiverHawks/Aviators in 2012 and 2013. He returned to his home state of Ohio in 2014 to be the assistant general manager during the first two seasons of the Prospect League's Champion City Kings. Wise's baseball career came full circle in 2016, when he returned to Chillicothe to call games for the Paints and handle other media duties as a full-time employee.

Jacob is a 2010 graduate of Waynesburg University, where he was the campus radio station's sports director for three years. He also called football, basketball, baseball and volleyball games on radio and television for the Waynesburg University Sports Network, advised by former Pittsburgh Pirates broadcaster Lany Frattare. Prior to Waynesburg, Wise graduated from Teays Valley High School in Ashville, Ohio, in 2006.
